IA in the development of new talent: Competitive advantage or core skill?

It is both valuable and noteworthy the genuine interest among young people in incorporating artificial intelligence tools into their academic training. This is not merely a passing trend, but rather a natural adaptation to the new demands of the professional landscape that they have already identified.

Many students today come across advanced IA tools during their internships, learning to interact with them even before universities formally and consistently integrate them into their curricula. This gap should not persist: the widespread incorporation of AI tools in educational programs must occur as soon as possible.

In the meantime, educators and business leaders share a responsibility: to guide new talent toward an appropriate, critical, and strategic use of such tools. Rather than restricting or ignoring them, we must train professionals who are attentive, highly curious, and with strong judgment to question and validate what AI produces.

From the field of accounting (historically linked to the evolution of business technology), we are witnessing meaningful transformations, both in education and professional practice. While proficiency in the use of AI tools may seem like a competitive advantage today, it will undoubtedly become a core skill tomorrow. This is the baseline from which we must guide our next steps.
